Full-Time Role: Mechanical Fitter – Electric Motors

Due to increasing demand, BAWCo would like to present you with an opportunity to join one of the largest and best-established independent electric motor repair companies in the north of England.

We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated individual to join our experienced and innovative team.

Requirements
• Experience working with electric motor systems
• Basic understanding of single and three-phase low-voltage AC systems
• Experience working with motors from fractional HP up to 500kW
• Lathe work, machining, and welding skills are highly valued
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in the industry
• Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Engineering qualification equivalent to Level 3 or higher

Job Role
• Dismantling and fault-finding on various motor units
• Cleaning, fitting bearings, repairing, and overhauling motors
• Repairing and overhauling pumps, fans, and gearbox units
• Operating machinery such as lathes and grinding wheels
• Stock modifications
• Carrying out hot works as required

Job Details and Benefits
• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: Hourly rate (dependent on experience and skill level)
• Annual Leave: 28 days, including bank holidays

Full-Time Role: Motor Rewind Technician

We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated individual to join our experienced and innovative team.

Requirements
• The candidate must have experience in the repair/rewinding of electric motors
• Single-phase and three-phase low-voltage AC Knowledge
• Experience with Fractional HP up to 500kw
• Experience repairing Pumps, fans and gearbox motors
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Ideally, the ability to repair & rewind DC motors of similar sizes.
• Experience in generator and high voltage repairs would be desirable, though not essential.
• Ability to work well with a team and individually
• Attention to detail and passion for the industry
• To be able to follow health and safety regulations
• Equivalent to level 3 or higher in engineering

Job Role

• Repairing and overhauling pumps, fans, and gearbox units
• Operating machinery such as lathes and grinding wheels
