Part of the ATB Group, ATB Tamel S.A., is one of the leading European manufacturers. ATB Tamel was founded in 1949, based in Tarnów, Poland, and has over 75 years of experience.
The facility manufactures low and high-voltage electric motors, including IEC and NEMA frame designs, single and three-phase induction motors, multi-speed motors, flameproof and explosion-protected units, and custom builds to suit specific customer requirements.

ATB Nordenham GmbH | Germany
Specialists in hazardous‑area motors and custom builds, ATB Nordenham’s engineers have been designing and manufacturing flameproof and explosion‑protected motors since 1952, offering over 70 years of experience in ATEX and IECEx certified solutions (e.g., Ex db and Ex db eb for Zone 1/21 applications) to meet exact industrial motor requirements.

Wolong Electric Group | China
Wolong Electric Group’s facility in China has strong R&D and customisation capabilities, supporting the design and manufacture of a wide range of electric motors. With an annual production capacity of 110 million kilowatts, the factory can meet large-scale industrial demand.

The Sparks Begin (1878–1904)
1878 – R.E.B. Crompton & Co. established, Chelmsford, UK
Pioneers in electrical equipment and lighting, founded by Colonel Rookes Evelyn Bell Crompton.
1904 – Brook Motors founded, Huddersfield, UK
Specialised in producing AC motors under the leadership of Ernest Brook.
Building a British Motor Legacy (1927–1974)
1927 – Crompton merges with F. & A. E. Parkinson Ltd → Crompton Parkinson
Combined expertise in motors and electrical systems to form a major British electrical company.
Late 1960s/1970 – Brook Motors acquired by Hawker Siddeley
Bringing the Huddersfield-based motor specialist under a larger engineering group.
1973–1974 – Formation of Brook Crompton Parkinson Motors
