Replacing the Mechanical Seal and Fitting a Basic Repair Kit
  1. Dismantle the pump
  2. Repair worn seal surfaces if required
  3. Remove and replace the mechanical seal
  4. Fit new gaskets and rubber seals
  5. Assemble the pump, perform pressure test, and run

Pump: Bearing Housing and Surface Repair

Possible Problems

  • Excessive noise
  • Excessive heat on the endshield or shafts
  • Rotor mechanically locked up
  • Application wear or damage due to misalignment

  1. Strip the pump down
  2. Remove the old bearings
  3. Measure the shaft and housings for wear – perform engineering work on worn surfaces to bring them back within tolerance
  4. Fit new bearings
  5. Assemble the pump, perform final tests, and run
